What is a Broadcast Calendar?

The Broadcast Calendar is a standardized calendar primarily used for planning and purchasing radio and television ads. The Broadcast Calendar week always starts on a Monday and ends on a Sunday, with Week 1 of the 52-week year containing January 1. Each month has either four or five full Monday-Sunday weeks, beginning in the week where the 1st of the month falls. As a result, Broadcast Calendar months have either 28 or 35 days, rather than the 28 to 31 days of a standard calendar month.

2025 Broadcast Calendar Highlights:

  • 5 Week Months: March, June, August, November
  • Memorial Day is the first week of June Broadcast
